Sliding Gate Repair
Customer Issue: The customer’s gate wouldn’t close further than a third of the way. There didn’t seem to be any warping or obstructions in the tracks or wheels, so it had to be an opener issue.
Our Solution: We looked at the sliding gate opener, and were relieved to find that it was a tangled chain issue and not a motor failure. We disconnected and unspooled the chain, and then cleaned and oiled the spool and junction and installed a replacement. We gave the gate a couple of complete opening cycles to test it out and found everything functioning well.
Gate Intercom Repair
Customer Issue: Mr. Rogers’ intercom on the driveway gate into his apartment building had malfunctioned and hadn’t worked consistently lately either, so he asked us to take a look.
Our Solution: Our technicians carefully examined Mr. Roger’s Doorking 1810 Access Plus model intercom, and completed testing as well to find the source of the issue. We opened it to further investigate the issue and found that the circuit board had been damaged and needed to be repaired. We completed repairs and tested it to make certain that it now worked properly.
